AI assistants and the MCP server
BidSkim runs a Model Context Protocol server at mcp.bidskim.com/mcp so assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT can search UK tenders, contract renewals, and buyer and supplier profiles on your behalf. Setup instructions for each assistant are on the MCP setup page.
Common things to check before writing in:
- Connection is refused or asks you to upgrade. MCP access is included with the Predict plan. Your current plan is shown on the pricing page and in your account settings.
- Sign-in loops or fails. Connecting uses your existing BidSkim login through OAuth. Sign in to BidSkim in the same browser first, then retry the connection.
- A search returns nothing. Keyword searches need at least three characters. Widen the date or value range before widening the keywords, and remember renewal records only cover contracts with a resolved supplier and an expiry date.
- Responses say a limit was reached. Daily budgets keep the service fast for everyone. They reset at midnight UTC; email us if your usage needs a higher ceiling.
Reporting a security issue

About the data
BidSkim aggregates published notices from Find a Tender, Contracts Finder, Public Contracts Scotland and Sell2Wales, deduplicated to one record per opportunity. Contract values are the published figures, not guaranteed spend, and renewal dates are derived from contract end and extension terms. Always verify details against the original notice before bidding.
