BidSkim vs Tracker

Tracker reaches beyond Britain and BidSkim does not, which decides it if you bid abroad. Note that EU and global coverage is an upgrade rather than standard, every Tracker tier ships with UK and Republic of Ireland. Tracker also publishes no pricing and charges per seat, so what you pay depends on a call and on headcount.

Side by side

A published price against a sales call

The long established UK and EU procurement platform from BiP Solutions, with a very large contract and award database.

Price

£780 a year against a quote you have to ask for

Tracker publishes no price at all, so the only honest comparison is that BidSkim's is on the website and Tracker's is not. BidSkim is £780 a year on Monitor and £1,860 on Predict, flat, with no per seat charge as the team grows.

BidSkim is £79 a month, or £780 a year which works out at £65 a month. The intelligence plan is £189 a month, or £1,860 a year which works out at £155 a month.

Tracker Intelligence. Not published. Tracker quotes per seat and shows no prices on its plans page. A genuine free search tier exists, separate from its 3 day trial. Coverage is selectable, UK and Republic of Ireland is standard on every tier, with Europe or Global as an upgrade.

Where each one wins

Depth of database against depth of reasoning

Choose BidSkim

You bid in Britain, nobody at your company is a full time bid manager, and you would rather read a price on a website than book a call to find one.

  • A published price, where Tracker quotes per seat on a call
  • Every notice scored against your profile with the reason written out
  • Renewal timing with incumbent, value and recurrence confidence
  • Planning stage notices, so you see work before it reaches tender
  • Price benchmarks and competitor renewal exposure from five years of award history
  • Set up in minutes, without training or an account manager

Choose Tracker Intelligence

You bid beyond Britain, or you need award history going back further than five years. Check which coverage tier you are quoted, UK and Republic of Ireland is the standard inclusion.

  • Very deep historic award data across the UK and EU
  • EU and international notices, which BidSkim does not cover
  • A free search tier, plus Supply2Gov as a lower cost sister product

Worth knowing

  • Per seat pricing that escalates quickly for a small team
  • Feature heavy, which several published comparisons note is overkill for alerts
  • Onboarding assumes someone whose job title includes the word bid
Which plan

What each plan buys you against Tracker

BidSkim sells two plans and the comparison changes depending on which one you mean.

Monitor, £79 a month

Tells you which live tenders deserve attention.

£79 a month, or £780 a year which works out at £65 a month

Monitor at £780 a year covers the alerting Tracker is most often bought for, at a price you can read without booking a call.

  • Every new notice across the official sources in Britain, checked daily
  • Each one scored against your services, regions, contract size and certifications
  • The fit reason written next to every match
  • Duplicates collapsed, so the same contract does not arrive four times
  • Tender briefs with buyer, value, dates, lots, CPV, stage and requirements
  • Frameworks and DPS routes flagged where the public data supports it
  • Profile rescans when your services, regions or bid appetite change

Predict, £189 a month

Helps you plan before the tender goes live.

£189 a month, or £1,860 a year which works out at £155 a month

Predict at £1,860 a year adds buyer intelligence, competitor renewal exposure and award benchmarks, flat, with no per seat charge as the team grows.

  • Everything in Monitor
  • Renewal radar, expiring incumbent contracts with buyer, incumbent, value and contract timing
  • Buyer profiles, spend, categories, open opportunities, top suppliers and annual trends
  • Buyer contacts where public notices or research provide them
  • Requirement and how-to-win notes for researched buyers
  • Supplier intelligence, who wins public work, where, and how their awards trend
  • Competitor tracking with renewal exposure, so you see their contracts coming back to market
  • Comparable awards for price benchmarks, winners and bid counts
  • Planning stage notices, work visible before it reaches tender

What BidSkim leaves out, and why

BidSkim covers Britain only, with no EU or international notices.

That is the whole point. Every scoring rule, CPV mapping, buyer record and renewal pattern is built for British public procurement and nothing else. A platform spanning thirty countries spreads the same effort across thirty procurement regimes, and the matching quality shows it. If you bid abroad you need a different tool. If you bid in Britain, you want the one that only does Britain.

BidSkim has no seats, exports or account management.

It is not built for a bid department. There is nothing to roll out, no training, no onboarding call and no per seat bill that grows every time someone new needs a login. A two or three person business can set it up in an afternoon. Large bid teams that need seats and account management are genuinely better served elsewhere, and we say so on the pricing page.

BidSkim holds five years of award history, not fifteen.

Five years is the window that answers the questions suppliers actually ask, what did comparable work sell for, who holds it now, and when does it come back. Older data mostly tells you about procurement rules that have since changed, and the Procurement Act reset a good deal of it.
