Colne Town Council - Grounds Maintenance Contract

Provision of grounds maintenance, playground inspection, and street furniture cleaning services for local authority parks and public spaces.

• Initial and annual inspection and maintenance checks of bus shelters, including deep cleaning of seats, structures and internal and external roof panels
• Fortnightly rotational cleaning of bus shelters, including roof undersides and surrounding footprints, removal of fly posters, minor repairs, light testing and replacement bulbs as required
• Electronic fortnightly evidence of each bus shelter checked and cleaned, and weekday incident details with indicative material and labour costs
• Inspection of existing benches with reports identifying each bench’s type, location, condition and photographs
• Quarterly inspection and cleaning of benches, with surrounding areas kept tidy and free of weeds or moss
• Recommendations for bench painting/revarnishing and repair and maintenance programmes, while the Town Council’s in-house team performs repair/refurbishment works
• Quarterly electronic evidence of bench condition and confirmation that benches were left clean and safe
• Fortnightly visual inspection of all equipment in each play area and MUGA, including on-site bolt tightening and joint lubrication
• Electronic condition reports and safety inspection checklists after each inspection, with immediate reporting of other faults
• Attendance by one or two staff at visual playground inspection training and passing the associated test
