Provision of specialist foot-drop Functional Electronic Stimulation clinical services for patients with neurological conditions including stroke and multiple sclerosis.

  • Provide a foot-drop specialist Functional Electronic Stimulation (FES) service to people with walking difficulty following an upper motor neurone neurological condition, including stroke, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, brain injury, cerebral palsy, Parkinson's disease, hereditary spastic paraparesis, transverse myelitis, dystonia and functional neurological disorders.
  • Accept referrals from health care professionals, triage them against the ICB's criteria, and assess appropriate patients at an OML clinic.
  • Provide the service in compliance with ACPIN's clinical practice guidelines.
