Service contract

Provision of waste, recycling and street cleansing services including household waste and recycling centre operation for a unitary council.

  • Collect household residual waste, dry recycling, food waste, chargeable garden waste, bulky waste, textiles, small electrical appliances, other non-domestic waste and recycling, commercial waste and dry recycling, and clinical waste
  • Operate a waste transfer station
  • Operate household waste and recycling centres
  • Manage materials collected at the kerbside, household waste and recycling centres and through fly tipping, including sale or disposal for recycling or treatment
  • Provide street cleansing including litter and detritus cleansing, jet washing, bus-shelter cleaning, washing footpaths and other specified areas, weed control, beaches and foreshores cleaning, graffiti and fly-posting removal, removal of fly-tipped and abandoned waste, hazardous-waste and chemical-spill response, litter-bin services, seasonal-fall removal, trolley removal, dead-animal removal, rapid response and road-traffic-accident response, special-event services, lake-litter removal, deep cleansing and chewing-gum removal, and erection of signs
