Provision of specialist rail major incident command training and simulated exercising for strategic and tactical incident management personnel.

  • Develop and deliver a competency-based training programme aligned to the TfW Major Incident Response Plan
  • Provide theoretical learning and simulated exercising for strategic and tactical rail incident commanders
  • Provide learning on rail and multi-agency command structures, strategic objectives, tactical planning, JESIP JDM command decisions, TfW Major Incident Action Cards, multi-agency SCG and TCG resourcing, humanitarian assistance, evidence preservation and investigations, document control and logging, recovery, and working in a multi-agency environment
  • Align the training with legislation, leading practice and guidance from the Rail Safety and Standards Board and Rail Delivery Group
