What the contract covers

Goods contract

Provision and distribution of oral health supplies, including toothbrushes and toothpaste, for supervised toothbrushing programmes and community health initiatives.

  • Children’s toothbrushes for supervised toothbrushing and foodbanks, including age-appropriate, individually wrapped toothbrushes with specified head size, texture and identification requirements.
  • Adult’s toothbrushes for foodbanks, individually wrapped.
  • Fluoridated toothpaste with 1350–1500 ppm fluoride, age-appropriate formulation, free from animal derivatives and gluten, minimum 75 ml tube size, complying with national oral health guidelines such as OHID/NICE.
  • Pre-packed infant’s, children’s and adult’s toothbrush-and-toothpaste packs for foodbanks and the MNBT project, with individually wrapped packs, specified fluoride and formulation requirements, optional commissioner leaflets and recyclable packaging where possible.
  • Toothbrush storage racks and rack caps or covers designed to support hygiene, individual identification and reduced cross-contamination in supervised toothbrushing programmes.
  • Additional items including storage trolleys and large sand timers, with options for non-foaming toothpaste, SEN-suitable toothbrushes and toothpaste, and recycling used toothbrushes.
