Design consultancy service contract

Architectural design and planning consultancy services for the replacement of secure windows within a listed building environment.

  • Obtain listed planning consent for the replacement of 160 windows at ground, first, second and third floor levels on the northern and southern elevations of C Wing at HMP Lewes
  • Design replacement windows that provide upgraded security negating the requirement for external security meshing, are dimensionally identical to the existing windows, do not affect the existing brick quoins and arches, and have frames matched to the existing colour
  • Survey C Wing and create a scope of work itemising the remedial works required to each room after window removal and installation
  • Provide designs taken from RIBA Stage 1–4 to facilitate the planning application
