What the contract covers

Supply and installation contract

Supply and installation of modular library shelving, bespoke furniture, and associated interior design services for public sector library spaces.

  • Replace the shelving and furniture in the children's library at the Central Library for families and children from birth to 15 years of age
  • Provide a modular shelving system with mobile units and connecting fillets for directional changes and defined physical spaces, suitable for approximately 20,000 library items
  • Provide desirable book displays and graphics on the ends of bookshelves and the large back wall above the shelving
  • Provide a smaller replacement counter in a new position to maximise space, large enough to house two PCs
  • Provide additional lockable storage for staff files, materials, newspapers and magazines
  • Provide a table and chairs for children to play/study, an upholstered storytelling chair and a rug
  • Provide study facilities and PC workstations
  • Provide fabrics recommended for task and soft seating within public environments
