What the contract covers

JCT Intermediate Works with Contractor’s Design (2016)

Design and installation of overhead line equipment (OHLE) isolation systems for rail maintenance depots and train care facilities.

  • Design and construct OHLE isolations present on roads 1-3 in the maintenance shed at Allerton Train Care Centre.
  • Develop designs to AFC status standard in accordance with relevant Network Rail Standards and submit them to NWR for Engineering Assurance.
  • Implement the designs across the OHLE on roads 1-3, including replacing manual operating gear with motor units, installing support steelwork and limit switch assemblies, running but not terminating cables, and performing functional testing.
  • Provide Form A/B, AFC and As Fitted designs, a site survey, and required amendments to Network Rail and depot isolation documentation.
