A9 Dualling: Tay Crossing to Ballinluig

Design and construction of major highway infrastructure projects, including road widening, bridge structures, and associated environmental mitigation and drainage works.

• Design, construct and complete approximately 5 miles (8.2 km) of A9 dual carriageway between north of the Jubilee Bridge over the River Tay and the southern end of the existing dual carriageway south of Ballinluig Junction.
• Widen the existing carriageway to Dual 2 lane All-purpose roads Sub-category c standard in accordance with CD 109 Highway Link Design within the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges.
• Construct seven left-in left-out junctions, a roundabout, access roads to rural properties, one new overbridge at Guay South and one new underbridge at Kindallachan.
• Upgrade side roads, including resurfacing or realignment; replace or upgrade structures including culverts; and develop Sustainable Drainage Systems in consultation with SEPA.
• Provide traffic management, earthworks, retaining walls, soil nailing, road restraint systems, accommodation works, service diversions, fencing, signage, landscaping and environmental mitigation.
• Provide 260 weeks of maintenance including defect correction and 260 weeks of landscape establishment after completion of the main works.
