Environmental consultancy/service

Provision of environmental consultancy services for the development of woodland management plans and ecological asset assessment for public sector clients.

  • Prepare 12 Urban Woodland Management Plans (UWMP) at Stoneymeadows, Kittoch Water, Red Burn, Neilston, Earnock and Cadzow Burn/Glen, Hamilton Low Parks, Backmuir, Jocks Burn, Mauldslie and Brownlie, Morgan Glen, Lanark Loch, Lesmahagow and Mossneuk
  • Develop the plans for the Council’s own tree features within the Broadleaved Nature Network
  • Ensure the plans meet Scottish Forestry standards and comply with the Scottish Forestry UWMP template and guidance
  • Provide a high-level and basic indication of ecosystem services, including carbon storage and flood mitigation, to illustrate asset benefits and support potential funding applications and stakeholder engagement
