Peatland restoration training site - Tarras Valley Nature Reserve

Provision of peatland restoration contracting, excavator operation and practical land restoration training through on-site demonstrations and trainee mentoring.

• Provide, maintain and supply fuel for two low ground pressure, tracked excavators on the site, preferably with tilting/rotator buckets
• Provide a skilled operator/site supervisor and an additional operator/demonstrator for the duration of the training project, to demonstrate peatland restoration techniques and mentor the trainees
• Oversee the work on the site, in conjunction with experienced Peatland ACTION staff
• Be responsible for CDM documentation and ensuring the Health and Safety on the site, in accordance with CDM Regulations 2015
• Record the work carried out on the site on Peatland ACTIONs spatial data template
• Complete work left outstanding (if any) at the conclusion of the 2-week period
