What the contract covers

Installation and replacement of commercial oil-fired boiler plant, heating pumps, controls and radiators for educational buildings.

Removal and disposal of existing oil-fired boilers, associated flues and redundant ancillary equipment
Retention of the existing low loss header and secondary heating distribution once leaving the plantroom and pressurisation equipment where serviceable
Installation of 2no. new high efficiency condensing kerosene-fired boilers complete with flue systems, condensate drainage and associated ancillary equipment
Replacement of existing boiler shunt pump set and heating circulation pump sets with new high efficiency ECM pumps
Replacement of the existing boiler control panel and associated controls
Modification of existing boiler house pipework and oil supply pipework to suit the replacement plant
Renewal of exposed secondary heating flow and return pipework between the retained low loss header and the points where the services enter the ground for distribution throughout the building
Removal and replacement of identified classroom radiators/convectors with low surface temperature (LST) radiators
Associated electrical works, testing, commissioning, flushing, water treatment, balancing and recommissioning of the heating systems
Provision of all builder’s work, making good, training, operation and maintenance manuals and handover documentation
