Fully integrated microbiology testing system within a managed service, including test kits, instrumentation and data management software delivering final results to SNBTS information management system(s)
Large-scale serological screening of approximately 160,000 blood and tissue donations annually for HBsAg, HCV, HIV and Syphilis
Discretionary testing of HTLV, HBc and CMV
Smaller-scale screening for malaria antibodies on selected donations
Archiving the whole of the remaining PPT tube after testing
Retention of hard-copy result data for thirty years and electronic raw test data indefinitely in archive databases
Creation of plate maps integrating with the Item Tracker archiving database so samples are later retrievable
Options for adding new mandatory or discretionary markers and testing protocols
Potential additional quality-control testing arising from plasma for medicines implementation
