What the contract covers

Services contract

Provision of digital sexual health services, including postal STI testing, click-and-collect diagnostics, and remote clinical treatment and patient support.

  • Postal testing service for all STIs appropriate to patients’ sexual health needs, including self-sample urine/swabs for chlamydia/gonorrhoea with dual/triple site testing as elicited by registration, and self-sample blood tests for HIV/Syphilis.
  • Safeguarding assessment for those under 18 years old, rapid dispatch, process tracking, and rapid results provision with a minimum of 100% by 5 working days.
  • Direct reporting of results by text message, email or phone; direct patient support; partner notification for positive results; and Public Health England reporting, for example GUMCAD/CTAD.
  • Click and collect model from pre-defined locations including pharmacies, GP surgeries and 3rd party providers, with training of staff, provision of equipment at distribution points, stock management, results management/reporting, and collection of medication for positives where necessary/requested.
  • Postal treatment facilitating self-care in patients clinically assessed as appropriate, including chlamydia treatment and partner notification and treatment as appropriate.
  • Development of system and results integration with sexual health electronic patient management systems providers to facilitate a single patient sexual health record between the sexual health provider and online platform.
