Provide critical scientific evidence and contingency services supporting FSA and Defra food contingency requirements, including policy-making, operational responsibilities and emergency response capabilities in relation to food and the environment.
Maintain government food incident response capability through seamless continuation of the required services.
Provide reliable, high-quality scientific services, including transition and transformational capabilities and enhancement of relevant scientific capability.
