What the contract covers

Services contract

Provision of professional event lighting design, installation, and management services for town centre Christmas light trails and festive displays.

Design, supply, install, maintain and dismantle a trail of light using projections on pavements in Market Square, Cannon Street and Upper and Lower Biggin Street.
Design, supply, install, maintain and dismantle projections of clear images, patterns or colour washes at up to four locations: Blank Wall at CT16 1DD, Dover Museum, St. Mary's Church and the stained-glass windows of The Maison Dieu.
Design, supply, install, maintain and dismantle sufficient lighting on Dover Town's 30ft Christmas Tree in Market Square.
Test the complete scheme before it goes live; operate the scheme on timer clocks from 4pm to 10pm; provide weekly inspections and rectify faults.
Provide a 24-hour emergency telephone number and attend emergency problems within no more than three hours.
Use suitable plant and accredited personnel for working-at-height installation, maintenance and dismantling; comply with relevant British and European Standards, health and safety legislation, PPE, risk assessments and method statements.
Ensure equipment withstands rain, wind and coastal salt air, is PAT tested, and is covered by the contractor's insurance while in situ.
